  • Arena Rampage

    Master of Illusion :-)

Well, after some mad action in the Arena, and a few of misc. quests that were knocking about, I finally had enough to get everything bar the Alchemy lab for Frostcrag Spire. I did think about saving up for the Skingrad house, but why should I when I have a Mountain getaway with everything I need?

Quite a bit has happened since my last update. I got a bit bored of doing the Mage quests, and thought it was about time Bretons weren't always looked on as the pussys of Cyrodil. So I did a quick bit of raiding, and I'm nearly at 50 Hand-To-Hand!

I'll do a quick update to bring me up to where I'm at.

I quickly escaped through the sewers, and went straight into Imperial City. Sold all the crap I'd picked up through the sewers, with the exception of a few bits and bobs (bit of armour to keep my safe through first few levels). Went and bought a shield spell (although I'm yet to use it.) and went straight to Skingrad to start off my Mages Guild Recommendations. Did a bit of bandit-braying on the way there, 'tis easy enough to loot people when you don't have a weapon or a full set of armour (light at that...) so speed wasn't a problem.

Within my first 2 or 3 hours I'd completed all my recommendations needed to enter the Arcane University, and I'm at about level 3 at this point. This is where the real challenege started.

I do intend on being a master of Illusion, but I figured that in the meantime a bit of melee was needed, and Hand-To-Hand meant I could use the rest of my inventory on carrying all my well earned loot to vendor off in the city. Anyway I decided for now, a staff of Paralyisis was in order, but fighting through that dungeon was a hard job when you only really have you hands and a very weak destruction spell to use.

But I got through, and I've also just done the quest where the Count of Skingrad's steward attacks you with two necromancers. That was pretty difficult, but was happy to see the count also uses his fists....
